PART 1: Refuting Islam and Relativism While Squashing the Political Ambitions of Dean Campbell (the Future Prime Minister of New Zealand) by Damon Whitsell

Having recently started to use Facebook, I had an experience I have to share with ya’ll. I actually met and got to do some verbal jousting with the future Prime Minister (PM) of New Zealand – Dean Campbell.

Let me give you this first and then I’ll do some prefacing and get on to showing the debate I had with the PM and how to refute the self refuting (it ain’t hard to do) nature of Relativism.

THE PM SAID,, “muslims terrorist physically attack but the christians do it in a mental way to make… their way to power”,, and then the PM went on to say “if a man broke into my house i would discuss why he did it and how he could change even if he had a gun to my head. just so you know i would like to become a counselor then psychologist then prime minister of new zealand“.

To the PM I have to say,, wouldn’t it just be easier if someone in your house was armed and poked a gun around the corner and shot the illegal intruder in the head and neutralized the situation? After all if your “counseling” skills fail,, wouldn’t that mean your going to get robbed and probably shot and killed yourself, and the murderer could possibly escape and go on to kill many others before he is caught and neutralized with imprisonment and justice?

To everyone else,, do you see what is wrong with the PM’s 2 statements? I think my friend said it best when he said,, “They are what they say we are”,, about Relativist. TO THE PM who is not astute and studious enough to know much about the fields he endeavors to enter to acquire political power,, I have to say – what you just did is called PROJECTION in psychological terms. In modern day secular terms and in Christianity, we would call that being hypocritical or not practicing what you preach. But fear not, you live in a country that still enjoys some measure of freedom and you will not be killed for your hipocracy. But if you where a Muslim in a Muslim country under the dictates of Sharia law, you would be killed for being a hypocrite and not DOING WHAT MUHAMMAD DID.

Now I have to tell you Dean (the future PM) is only 17,, so if you know me or do some investigating,, you might ask yourself AM I BEING MEAN TO DEAN FOR CALLING HIM OUT AND TRYING TO MAKE SURE HE NEVER BECOMES PM? No not at all JUST READ THE THREAD AND COMMENTS HERE and you’ll see that the PM is a passive aggressive relativistic dictator BULLY. And there is only one way to STOP A BULLY (must see – VERY FUNNY). So the fact that I have been studying and debating longer than the PM has been breathing,, is of little consequence. The little tyrant must be put down and his political aspirations must be stopped because like I ended up telling him “if you where to become Prime Minister now – all you would do is outlaw all points of view beside Moral and Cultural Relativism”.

REFUTING THE PM AND HIS CULTURAL RELATIVISM

This comes from the FB thread, you can GO HERE to see it all. The following are my post about his latest post when I came into the discourse. The PM had said many things before these (which I will be addressing later in another article) and some things afterwards (that I will be addressing on that thread). Please note that FB only allows so much text per response and that I said hi at the beginning of each post just to soften the brutality of the the truth and not feed his pre-conditioned responses.

Hi Dean, it does not really matter what your pen pal says he believes (google Taqiyyah). WHAT MATTERS IS,, What does the Quran and Suna (Hadith [sayings of Muhammad] and Sira [biographies of Muhammads deeds]) teach. I had a nice young lady… that is a member of the ex-Word of Faith support group I run claim that 1. Islam itself is a peaceful religion. 2. The base of their religion is not all that bad. 3. Their treatment of women is not exactly following their own holy book. You should read my response to her. DEAN SAID “i have learnt that yes the muslims now are bad but back when there religion was growing it was a peaceful one but now it is becoming harsh” … I SAY “watch this and ask yourself how we went from just Muhammad to over 1 billion Muslims”. Hi Dean, YOU SAID “you people don’t want to accept the fact that not all muslims are bad”. Who ever said all muslims are bad? Can you show where any of us has said this? I DEFY YOU TO DO SO. Let me set the record straight for ya. Not all Mu…slims are bad. Some are just Muslims in name only or cultural and non religious Muslims, peace and freedom loving, secular people who believe in the separation of mosque and State and very good and moral people. Some are so good, they might lay down their life’s for someone else, even for what other Muslims would call infidels or kafars. BUT THE “BAD ONES” (your words) ARE DOING EXACTLY WHAT MUHAMMAD DID. NAME ME 3 “Christian terrorist” and I’ll name you three hundred convicted Mulsim terrorist after I prove that ones you …come up with are not even Christian at all, not even by name only. Hello Dean, I’m not trying to overwhelm you by responding with too much. It is just that on my first read of your post I wanted to respond to 2 sentences and on my second read-through I seen so much that had to be pointed out and challenged… that I decided to respond to every sentence as each are loaded with logical fallacies that are antithetical to logical and reason. Those include hasty generalizations, non sequitars and more often strawmen arguments (misrepresenting someone’s view to make it easy to pumel, merely appearing to have made a case) and the tu quoque ad hominem fallacy (U2, you do or did it too – Christianity could be all that you claim it to be, that would not change one single objective fact about Islam). I did the following at my friends house and wrote this part when I got home. After re-reading the below I see where you might want to claim I am just being mean. But I am merely trying to represent and defend the Truth,,, as I see it.

Hi again Dean, So you admit that you cannot name 3 Christian terrorist and that I could name 300 convicted muslim terrorist,, GOOD lets move on. YOU SAID “muslims terrorist physically attack but the christians do it in a mental way to make… their way to power”. HUH??? What mental way are you talking about? What mental power do we have over you? What power are we seeking. Our kingdom is not of this earth and I could care less about power. ARE YOU REALLY going to equate flying planes into buildings and blowing yourself up to kill others for religious reasons with expressing ones point of view?

Hi again dean, YOU SAID “some christians will do anything in their power to make their message heard while others don’t mind if people aren’t christian.” I SAY, Are you implying that everyone has a right to their world view, ideology and fr…eedom of speech, except Christians? We Christians do not have mental powers, we (and God) have spiritual powers that convict you (when we quote the bible) of your need to repent and believe so that you can have forgiveness and free eternal life in Jesus Christ. Just so you know,, about half of my friends and family are not Christian. And PLEASE try to see that this is one world view against another, nothing personal. I just think the Christian world view is the true and correct one.

I SAY, There are two kinds of cults, sociological (Jim Jones etc – no religion required, just manipulation and con…trol over the group and individual ) and theological (Mormons, Sufi and Ahmaddiya Muslims etc – all religions have non orthodox sects that are heretical from the orthodox [original] view). All religions and cultures have sociological cults! Christians VERY MUCH tolerate our heretical non orthodox theological cults (we don’t kill Mormons or even go beat up Fred Phelps for mucking up funerals AND preaching heresy). BUT orthodox Muslims kill their heretical groups. I SAY, Did ya hea…r me say “Just so you know,, about half of my friends and family are not Christian.” Are you about ready to nod out and admit your just using meaningless, useless rhetoric and unsubstantiated propaganda,,, or are you going to continue to instigate me exercising my mental power over you (I’ve just studied more than you and know why I believe what I believe and am speaking my point of view – which happens to be the biblical one)? Wouldn’t it just be easier to admit you’re a sinner that needs forgiveness to stand in a Holy Gods presence one day and that he has already provided that for you? Would you please mull over my responses and look at some of the link references I gave before you counter-respond? You really should judge Islam and all other religions by their books, not anything else. That is why I challenged you to read the Quran (at least the Quran and Hadith verses in my first or second link). And when you get time, you should read and study the bible too so you don’t have to listen to people opinions about it, and those that follow it. THANKS!!!

Hi again Dean, I think your last response is mostly the same illogical and unreasonable stuff as contained in your other post – with something new, I think we are getting at the bottom of the big issue now. BUT you did get two things right …though. YOU SAID, “if we all try we can reason with the best of them and i feel that in a way you are trying to do that with me but i stay strong to my ideas and don’t let anyone change me”. 1. yes it is my goal to reason with you and not kill you, ostracize or try to marginalize your point of view, thus eliminating it altogether from the public discourse. 2. You just don’t want to change!!!… because your last post is bloated with self righteous, falsely noble sounding platitudes about the virtues of Moral Relativism and making no judgments expect the BIG JUDGEMENT that all judgments should be condemned except the judgment that all things are equal and everyone should acquiesce to that point of view or have pejorative labels put on them. I’m not trying to snuff out your point of view, I am just trying to show you what I see it is,, unreasonable and illogical. I am doing so because I am following the example of my God who says “Isaiah 1:18a Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD”. Before I unpack your other sentences in your last post and show the absolute absurdity and self refuting nature of Relativism in general,, I’ll give you a day or 2 to let some of this soak in and maybe you will check out some of the references I gave instead of hastily rushing to judgment.
